Reasons I major in EE, minor in AFL (revised)

It has been almost three years ever since I entered National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. In the very beginning, I made a quick decision to major in Electronics Engineering. And, as I was a sophomore, I made up my mind to minor in Applied Foreign English. As to me, in practice, there have been several motives playing vital roles in affecting what I have chosen to major or minor in. 

Reasons I major in EE, minor in AFL (first draft)

There are three principal reasons why I major in Electronics Engineering and minor in Applied Foreign Language.

Learning through process

Sometimes it's really hard to notice how much we have learnt from just doing. Human beings are ,of course , one kind of the most intelligent creatures in the world, and people do learn everything in any ways. It could be communication, books, the Internet and even just doing.

Flow

I learnt this word in other way in an article in a famous magazine,CWM.

What first comes to my mind about this word is something like the flow of stream or something similar.

Introduction to Myself

I wonder how to express that situation if I want to describe that someone feels sorry but still have to tell the truth because it is necessary. Could anyone help me to come up with an example sentence?
